My dear friends and supporters:

I owe so much to each and every one of you! This time, as you know, we simply missed the mark.Your efforts were, nevertheless, were very valid and important to me. Thank-you!

I want you to know that I remain fully committed to continue working for social justice, as I also hope and believe you will! I may have lost the seat, but I will keep your friendship.

Please keep in touch since I want to work with you for common goals.

I will keep the web site alive and you could also reach me through my cell 617-777-9070 or my e mail serapia1948@yahoo.com.

Please remember that we still have friends in the Council that need your active participation and support.

With all my love,  Felix

Arroyo Issue Statements

Education

Served eight years on the Boston School Committee and has five children who either attend or graduated from the Boston public schools.  Personally committed to quality schools in all neighborhoods, school choice, smaller class sizes, reducing drop-out rates, and closing the achievement gap.

Housing

Born and raised in public housing. Seeks to return planning to communities, aggressively address Boston’s affordable housing crisis and make sure that everyone can afford to live in their neighborhood of choice.

Health/Environment

The father of two children afflicted with asthma.  Advocate for clean and healthy neighborhoods, universal single-payer health care, and exposing the links between pollution and public health

Public Safety

The proud son of a police detective. Working for comprehensive crime prevention and rehabilitation programs, community policing, to provide more youth opportunities, and to strengthen gun safety laws.  Believes being “smart on crime” is as important as being “tough on crime.”

Economic Vitality

Has worked closely with the City’s labor unions, neighborhood non-profit organizations, and local businesses to create and maintain jobs for Boston’s residents.
